COPSTOCK FOLDER SLING MOUNTING TIPS

Below are the recommended COPstock sling mounting locations.

Figure 1: Attach sling by wrapping nylon cord directly around the wire frame stock.   Figure 2: Attach sling by installing a sling swivel into the stud or by running nylon cord through the sling swivel stud.

Sling Stud Relocation / Installation Instructions

The COPstock folder is manufactured with the sling stud installed for a right hand shooter. To relocate the COPstock sling stud for a left hand shooter you will need a T-Handle 1/8-inch Allen wrench and a small rod or Jeweler's screwdriver (small enough to pass through the eye of the sling stud). To relocate the sling stud follow the directions below.

  1. Using the Allen wrench, carefully remove the hex head screw on the right side of the stock.
NOTE: DO NOT tamper with or try to adjust any parts, screws or pins located under
    the cover plate.
  2. To remove the sling swivel stud from the left side of the stock, insert a small rod through
the hole in the sling stud and unscrew the sling stud.
  3. Replace the hex head screw on the right side of the stock with the sling stud and carefully
screw in stud until tight. Be careful not to cross-thread or strip the threads in the grip.
We recommend “Blue” Locktite Thread Locker to secure the sling stud.
  4. Take the hex head screw from the right side of the stock and re-install on the left side of
    the stock.
  5. Check the function of the stock by folding and unfolding stock. Stock locking mechanisms
should engage and function as they did from the factory. Attach your swivel and sling.
