"We recently used our recoil-analysis fixture to test the CompStock from Knoxx Industries... For our text we selected a 7mm Remington Magnum firing a 150-grain bullet at 3,100 fps. For the first phase the gun had a factory wood stock and a factory recoil pad... The gun generated a peak recoil force of about 165 pounds. We then installed the CompStock... and repeated the test. The peak recoil force dropped to about 80 pounds... cutting the peak recoil force in half makes a huge difference in felt recoil. It turns a 7mm Remington Magnum into something like a .22-250." -
